Do the Roo!!!

When I was working on my undergrad studies, I remember many of my fellow friends departing on a journey to a place known as Manchester, Tennessee. The pursuit was simple, to rock out for four days straight!! I would hear tales of drug use, excessive drinking, momentous concert performances by our favorite artists, sweltering heat, expensive food, and most importantly, the overall experience. I'm talking about our generations Woodstock, BONNAROO!!!!

The story goes something like this...

In February tickets were bought.

Then on June 8th the adventure began.

We packed up Ashley's subaru to go to Bonnaroo.

We met with our friends, the Meus sisters, Norrie, Darcey and Abigail.

We also had some help from our friends Cheech and Chong

They were used to determine with camp site was ours.

We then took off to Tennessee....

The ride took about 4 hours

Plus another 7 hours to get to just one exit

While awaiting this exit, Ashley's tire felt somewhat low :( In doing so we had to head off to a gas station. The good news, we got air in the tire and got to jump in front of the excessive congestion of cars. Getting us into the campsites early :)

A quick car inspection and then at 3:30am our tent was set and our neighbors met.

For it was 5am until our heads hit the bed.

It was not alarm clocks nor the sound of excitement that woke us but the blistering summer sun, which came to visit at 7:30 on the morning of Day 1 of our Bonnaroo adventure.

For those of you who have never been on an adventure such as this. Keep food simple and to a minimum. A bagel with peanut butter made an easy breakfast.

Creamy goodness :)
Also keep yourself properly hydrated.
Snacks such as Pirate Booty are also a good idea.
I would highly recommend healthy snacks because they don't leave you feeling greasy.
For after breakfast we were off to Centerroo!
A record of 80,000 people attended this amazing event. So in other words, the lines were ridiculous!!!
On the way in and even on the way out of Centeroo, we see pictures of all our favorite musicians. Above Radiohead.
Grace Potter
Jack Johnson and Eddie Vedder
A view from under the opening!
What's inside will be told for another day....
