The bands played on

One of the things I found most interesting about Bonnaroo was the image that at every hour and at any stage, a band would be playing. I'm not talking about the feeling of, "oh hey they're paying us to be here, so let's play with no emotion" I'm talking about the enthusiasm. I feel that all the bands we saw had so much feeling behind the music, it only made the event more enjoyable :)

Oh and by the way, here's a look into making your own breakfast while at the Roo....

I made some green tea for that morning. I left the stove out to make some eggs.
Lets add some cheese :)
Lets also add one of my favorite foods to the mix.
Oh heck while we're add it lets just make a breakfast burrito.

The awesome thing about this, we had this at about 11 and it really held me over for quite awhile.

Now lets wait in line for an hour and a half to get into Centeroo to see Bela Fleck

And Warren Haynes Band too.

I also have to comment about the interesting characters you meet while at this festival. Here are a few:

This guy has been growing his dreads for 41 years!!!
Shake it!!!

Also, they do have some interesting tents to visit when you are sick of hearing music.
Like the Broo'ers Festival!!

Gotta support the local brewers!! The cool thing about this tent, you can give them between 2 to 3 tickets for a sample of beer or 6 tickets for a pint. Wasn't a bad idea. I went with the samples because you can try more beer that way :)

Ahh bliss!!

Now back to the music!!

The Decemberists!
After their show we went to see Florence and the Machine.
I thought I got some pictures from her show but no dice :(

We went back to the camp site for a little break.
When we got back a little Arcade Fire was in order.

Then Ashley introduced me to one of her favorite bands....
Bassnectar.

All I can say is, "Thank you, Ashley!!" These guys were awesome!!!

Ashley even got a light-up hula hoop for the event!!!

Lights are every where!!!
Later that night we went back to the tent for some rest. For we had a long day ahead of us....
It started off with some Old Crow Medicine Show!!

I also feasted on this little ditty...
It's called an i-am-a-yama-dilla. It's got black beans, sweet potato, and a mango salsa. With a Japanese Sencha.

A lovely lunch indeed :)
Jammed out to a little Alison Krauss and Union Station.

Ohh yeah and Mumford and Sons!! Sorry if the video is jumpy. I had a lot of people in front of me :(

We tried our damnest to see the Black Keys but the crowd was so thick we couldn't get to the What stage. We went to see Buffalo Springfield but the sound was very dull from where we were standing. So when the time was right, we went to go see Eminem!!

This performance I was really surprised about. His show was probably one of my favorites. He did a sampler of all his hits. Really brought me back to middle school and high school days.
The next day, was quite an easy one. The only band that we really wanted to see was Widespread Panic. But they started at 8:30pm. So we did a little bit of band hopping throughout the day.

The last day is more notable, for unlike the other days, this day we had clouds in the sky. Trust me it makes a big difference with the weather.

I think I will miss this.
Even the knots I found in my hair :)
