Breakfast in a small town with a good friend

I think the new City Lights Cafe and I are going to be good friends.

Yesterday before work I met with my West Virginian friend, Jenn :) at one of the best places in town!

Look how cool her tattoo is!
Hmm what to pick?
Well, I knew I needed a non-fat latte
Jenn finished her raspberry mocha by the time I got there!
Pregnant lady happy :)
Apparently during pregnancy you have dreams of drinks and food.
Oh no....
So many choices.
Where all the magic happens
Beer!!!
Heinzelmannchen brew!!
I ordered the tempeh panini
Best way to start the morning :)
Jenn got the everything bagel with cream cheese.

Had to get a shot of Chris and Michael.
I used to work with Michael at Spring Street and Chris owns the bookstore upstairs.
Rolling the silverware.
After My lunch date with Jenn, it was time to go to work!
If only I could go outside.
I guess I'll just sit at this desk and blog.

Delicious cajun cream pasta that our chef Slade makes at Bear Lake.

Grillin'

The past few days have been some what busy. Exams for me were over on Wednesday, Jeff's old co-worker, Glennie, is in town, and as soon as my graduate assistantship was over with on Thursday, I had to start back to work at Bear Lake Reserve. Right now Bear Lake is in transition to find a new receptionist so in the mean time, I'll be taking over :) I think this might give me time to catch up on blogging!

Recap!

Thursday night after a 2.5 mile run with Jeff. I had a craving for some chicken wings. After being a pesca-tarian (vegetarian but still eating fish)  for three years, I really missed the way my Dad would cook chicken wings and the sauce that went with the wings. I actually called him to get the secret family recipe ;)

Here's how the night went in pictures....
New toy!

Two sauces were made: Jeff's and my Dad's
Here are Jeff's ingredients...
Wings in his sauce
Wings marinating in my sauce..
No you don't get to know what's in the secret family sauce!
Collards...
Yum.
Prepping sweet taters
Nicely cut
Bake in the oven
Minus the turkey leg, that's what the sweet potatoes look like when they are out of the oven.
I forgot to get a picture of my plate but let me tell you it was delicious :)
